Confusing record mode!

This app is great for quickly recording song riff ideas. However, the record mode is confusing and not intuitive at all. When I press record, for example, I expect to be creating a new song and not hear another one playing back! The help menu is not helpful in this regard, either. Also, Im not sure when I save something exactly what Im saving and if Ill be overwriting an existing file. So not worth the price if Im deleting or not saving what I intended.
